WE AT to Exhibit at Viva Technology 2026, Promoting European Market Expansion for Japan-Originated Well-being Startups Together with WE AT CHALLENGERS

General Incorporated Association WE AT (“WE AT”) is pleased to announce that it will exhibit at Viva Technology 2026 (“VivaTech”), one of Europe’s largest startup and technology events, to be held in Paris, France, from Wednesday, June 17 to Saturday, June 20, 2026.

This exhibition will take place at the Japan Village booth, led by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan with the support of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). WE AT will exhibit together with WE AT CHALLENGERS, startups selected through WE AT CHALLENGE, a pitch contest that aims to become one of Asia’s largest well-being festivals. Through this initiative, WE AT will promote the visibility of Japan-originated well-being startups in the European market and create opportunities for engagement with local companies, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders.

According to VivaTech’s official announcement, the 2025 edition also generated 640,000 business connections, showcasing innovation across a wide range of fields, including AI, healthcare, mobility, sustainability, and deep tech.

The 2026 edition will mark VivaTech’s 10th anniversary and is scheduled to take place from June 17 to 20, 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

Background and Significance of the Exhibition

Startups in the well-being sector operate in areas deeply connected to the structural challenges faced by individuals and society, including healthcare, elderly care, education, local communities, infrastructure, inclusion, and the environment.

At the same time, for startups in these fields, overseas expansion requires more than simply introducing products to international markets. It requires business development tailored to local social implementation environments, including regulatory systems, living environments, medical, welfare and telecommunications infrastructure, partnerships with municipalities and corporations, and relationship-building with funding providers.

Europe is one of the regions where ecosystems have been formed to advance social implementation through collaboration among policy, industry, investment, and research institutions in areas such as well-being, healthcare, sustainability, inclusion, and digital public infrastructure.

Through its participation in VivaTech, WE AT aims to create opportunities for Japan-originated well-being startups to connect with European companies, investors, government agencies, research institutions, and support organizations, thereby supporting their overseas business development and partnership formation.
