ABeam Consulting Joins “WE AT” to Build a New Academia–Industry–Government Innovation Ecosystem
WE AT, a general incorporated association dedicated to advancing the well-being industry through global-scale solutions to social challenges, is pleased to announce that ABeam Consulting Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takahiro Yamada; hereinafter “ABeam Consulting”) has joined the organization.

Strengthening a Global Startup Ecosystem that Supports Entrepreneurs Working Toward Well-being
Established in May 2024, WE AT aims to build a global innovation ecosystem through collaboration among major Japanese universities—including the University of Tokyo and Kyoto University—leading corporations, and venture capital firms. Guided by the OECD’s “well-being framework,” WE AT supports startups, companies, and research institutions contributing to the accumulation of economic, natural, human, and social capital—the foundation of a well-being economy.
With the addition of ABeam Consulting, WE AT now brings together a total of three universities and twelve companies, including the founding members, to further accelerate the development and expansion of the ecosystem.
ABeam Consulting positions itself as a “social transformation accelerator,” creating new social value through co-creation with a wide range of partners, including startups. The company has driven initiatives such as public–private collaboration, regional industrial development, and startup ecosystem building. Its participation in WE AT will further accelerate these efforts through a cross-sector co-creation platform spanning academia, industry, and government, contributing to the realization of a Japan-led well-being society.
“WE AT CHALLENGE 2025”: Aiming to Become Asia’s Largest Well-being Festival
On November 27, 2025, WE AT will host “WE AT CHALLENGE 2025,” a pitch contest organized in collaboration with Singapore’s TEMASEK Foundation, at Tokyo Innovation Base in Yurakucho, Tokyo. The event aspires to become Asia’s largest well-being-focused festival.
Now in its second year, the contest received nearly 600 applications from startups, students, researchers, and corporate teams across approximately 40 countries.
In addition to the three existing tracks—Planetary Well-being, Human Well-being, and Social Well-being—a new Creativity Well-being track has been introduced for 2025. Expert judges from each field will evaluate finalists, and the event will present the “WE AT BEST AWARD” along with several special awards.
